Almost three weeks ago, on Mother's Day, I fell and broke my legs. Yes, that is legs and not leg. After having surgery, I will not be able to do any church hopping until sometime after October. Please keep me in your prayers. My goal of completing my pilgrimage will continue, eventually. May God bless you and please be safe!

Do you know all the terms used in church? I thought that I did and was very wrong. I've found it to be a whole new language. Here's a link to the basics: http://parishbulletin.com/organizations/14388/documents/altarserverglossaryofterms.pdf
Word on Fire Catholic Ministries has a fantastic article written by Fr. Steve Grunow entitled, "The Solemnity of Our Lord's Baptism." I highly recommend reading this article for a more in-depth look at such an important event in Catholicism.
http://www.wordonfire.org/resources/blog/the-solemnity-of-our-lords-baptism/1902/ Please excuse all the grammatical errors you find throughout this blog/website. I was unaware that there were so many until I started transferring articles for my book. It is rather embarrassing and I sincerely apologize for my inadequate English writing skills.
Forbes published an article yesterday about Pope Francis that I found both intriguing and inspiring. He is referred to as an "Epic Innovator" that should be emulated. http://www.forbes.com/sites/offwhitepapers/2014/11/12/pope-francis-secret-sauce-stop-pontificating/
For everyone with iPhones, Smartphones or any other intelligent phone devices: Most of the problems have been solved, but I'm still correcting isolated problems and even revised the entire website. There is a great sense of accomplishment regarding the new look of this website/blog and I just need to continue to work on a few snags. If you have any suggestions or comments, please leave them below. Thank you for your patience and may God bless you.
Have you ever found yourself trying to find an appropriate blessing? I found a Catholic website that is stocked with a blessings for just about everything. There's even a blessing for bacon and eggs! Who knew? The website also has over 3,500 prayers, sections on sacraments, saints, graphics, songs and much more. I pray that this link will help you. http://www.catholicdoors.com/prayers/blessings.htm
Liturgical Calendar for the Diocese of the United States of America is available on pdf for your browsing and reference. Sometimes it's nice to know when things start and stop and when Holy Days are occurring. You can enlarge the photo on the left or click on the link for detailed information. I hope it helps you as well. http://www.usccb.org/about/divine-worship/liturgical-calendar/upload/2014cal.pdf October 11, 2012 was the beginning of the Year of Faith as decided by Pope Benedict XVI. It's been a busy year focusing and centering our minds and hearts. Get back to basics and go through that spiritual door that was opened at baptism and strengthen our faith. A little over a month, November 24, 2013 will end the Year of Faith and start a new. For the last part of this year, I am pledging to spend more time in prayer and less time on my not-so-smart phone. I believe that it's never to late to grow closer to God. For more information on Year of Faith, here are a few good articles: http://www.annusfidei.va/content/novaevangelizatio.html http://www.usccb.org/beliefs-and-teachings/how-we-teach/new-evangelization/year-of-faith/ Sometimes while going down life's road we lose our inspiration and motivation. Perhaps your get-up-and-go got-up-and-left. This has happened to me more times that I would like to admit. After extensive prayer, I came across a video that I watch when I need that extra oomph or kick in the caboose. To some, it may seem ridiculous or harsh, but it's definitely not one of those "gooshy-girly-feel-good" ones; it has enough Testosterone to keep it on the exciting side. This has helped me as a quick pick-me up along with my prayers. Today my prayer is that it helps someone else as well.
