Some names are dear to us and remind us of all that is good. For me, one of those names is John the Baptist. It is a beautiful name and in my family heritage. Giovanni Battista Belvedere was my paternal grandfather. He was full of life, painted, sang, laughed a lot and had a passion for the water. I remember loving to spend a lot of my childhood with him, until his early death. Many decades later, my nephew now carries the Battista Belvedere name.
