On this crisp Tuesday morning I found myself traveling northeast to a church that has two Catholic Schools onsite. My Pilgrim Train brought me to the nine o'clock mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church ∙ 670 South 1100 East ∙ Salt Lake City UT 84102 ∙ Phone: (801) 322-3330 ∙ Website: http://www.lourdes-slc.org/. I encourage you to visit the website, especially the 'Centennial' link. Yes, they have a Centennial because the were established in 1913 to fulfill a need and have been growing ever since.
The church has a beautiful view of the Salt Lake valley and there is plenty of parking. Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School and Judge Memorial High School are located on the property that utilizes almost a square block. The church is located at the corner of 700 South and 1100 East and the main entrance is on 1100 East. Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church has a light brick colored exterior with double wooden entry doors. On the opposite side of those doors is a large foyer with an abundance of information, handouts and a beautiful Holy Water storage container. The stairs for the balcony and confessionals
