Getting to St. Thomas More Catholic Parish is very easy and it is such a wonderful and relaxing ride. Please do remember that I don't drive and I'm speaking as the passenger; although my driver seemed to enjoy the ride too. The church is set in a very serene and peaceful area with an amazing view of the (Please click the "Read More" to continue. Thank you.)
Once into the parish, it is very beautiful. There are so many windows on both sides of the church that allow light to shine in. The light gave a warm glow that felt like the Holy Spirit was coming in to join us. Inside the church you notice the beautiful colored glass blocks located on the back wall. There are many pews, that I am sure are filled during the weekends, although there were many parishioners today. To the left of the altar is the music area and a statue of Mary. To the right of the altar is a statue and adoration area for St. Thomas More. Behind the altar is a partition that seemed to have a design of little crosses. If you go behind the partition after mass, and please do, is the tabernacle and another adoration area for the Blessed Sacrament. To the right and left of the tabernacle are beautiful paintings with a Psalm verse. Directly across from the tabernacle is the crucifix with more painting and Psalm verse 23. Below are photos that can be clicked to enlarge them for better viewing. Because the grounds surrounding the parish are so perfectly manicured, it felt as if I were seated in a church that was in the middle of an upscale golf course. The sense of peace, tranquility and serenity was flowing throughout my time at St. Thomas More - even the sermon was wonderful.
I wish the parishioners of St. Thomas More Catholic Parish a bounty of blessings as they journey closer to God.
